FMC Technologies, Inc. announced today its intent to acquire Multi Phase Meters AS (MPM).
“By expanding our product offering through MPM’s advanced multiphase flow meters, FMC will be able to further optimize its subsea technologies and therefore bring significant value to our customers,” said Peter D. Kinnear, FMC’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer (picture).
Says MPM Manging Director Hans Olav Hide:
MPM will continue to operate as a self-standing company within the FMC group. We will strive to maintain an excellent relationship with our customers, suppliers and all other parties, to assure that the MPM meters and technology will be available for all oil companies and end-users.
There are no changes envisaged to the organization or management. As management and employees of MPM we are proud of the fact that we now will be part of one of the leading technology companies in the world and we have been given the possibility to further develop ourselves as individuals and company.
